Ever since last sum mer, the Inter net has been awash in rumors of a Google social net work. First, it was "Google Me" and later it was "Google +1". Last Sep tem ber, how ev er, Google CEO Eric Schmidtexplained that the com pa ny wasn't work ing on a stand-alone social net work, but rather the inter weav ing of social ele ments. ""We're try ing to take Google's core prod ucts and add a social component," said Schmidt.
